Six Years of Faithfulness: What We’ve Learned Along the Way

April marks a meaningful milestone for Blessings Brokers… 6 years of serving ministries and nonprofit leaders across the country.

What began on April 2, 2020, in the middle of a global pandemic, has grown into something we could have never fully anticipated. But as we reflect on the journey, what stands out most isn’t the timeline, but the faithfulness of God through it all.

A Calling Rooted in Purpose

From the beginning, Blessings Brokers was built around a clear mission: to equip and empower ministries to steward their vision well and increase their impact for God’s Kingdom.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside incredible leaders, people carrying meaningful, often heavy, responsibility as they serve their communities locally, nationally, and globally.

And one thing has become clear:

This work is not just strategic.
It is deeply spiritual.

More Than Strategy

Fundraising is often viewed as a technical challenge, something to solve with the right tools, systems, or messaging.

And while strategy absolutely matters, it is not the source.

Time and again, we’ve been reminded that:

  • Clarity creates confidence
  • Relationships build trust
  • Consistent communication strengthens connection

But ultimately, provision comes from the Lord.

We can plan.
We can prepare.
We can steward well.

But we are not the ones who create the outcome.

The Power of Relationship

After decades in nonprofit fundraising, one truth continues to stand firm:

Strong donor relationships are at the heart of sustainable ministry.

People don’t give simply because there is a need.

They give because they:

  • Believe in the mission
  • Trust the leadership
  • Feel connected to the impact

Authenticity matters.

Taking the time to truly know your donors (not just as supporters, but as people) changes everything. It turns giving from a transaction into a partnership.

Dependence, Not Independence

One of the most humbling parts of this work is recognizing how much is outside of our control.

Every strategy, every conversation, every opportunity ultimately points back to one truth:

God is the provider.

We often say:
We make the plan.
We communicate the vision.
We build the relationships.

But God brings the provision.

That perspective shifts everything…from pressure to peace, from striving to stewardship.

The Importance of Rest

In ministry and nonprofit work, there is always more to do.

Another meeting.
Another donor to connect with.
Another opportunity to pursue.

The work is never fully finished.

But we’ve learned that rest is not optional—it’s necessary.

There is a rhythm to this work that requires both faithfulness and trust. Showing up each day, doing the work we’ve been called to, and then stepping back, knowing that God is still at work even when we are not.

Keeping an Eternal Perspective

As we celebrate six years, we’re reminded of what matters most.

Not just the strategies. Not just the results. Not just the growth.

But the eternal impact.

At the end of it all, the goal is not recognition or achievement.

It is faithfulness.
To serve well. To steward well. To honor God in the work.

And to one day hear the words:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Looking Ahead

We are incredibly grateful for every ministry, every leader, and every team we’ve had the opportunity to serve over the past six years.

And as we look ahead, we do so with expectation.

Because the need is still great.
The mission continues.
And the opportunity to steward vision well is just beginning.

Thank you for being part of the journey.
